“As a designer your sense of style comes from any number of places – where you have been, what you love, where your passions lead you.
Finding your personal aesthetic is a journey.
I found that my “road” crossed at the familiar and the undiscovered;
at an intersection of past and present.”
As a former antiques dealer, Julia’s passion for antiques, artifacts and found objects translates into beautiful modern homes with a timeless quality that is so relevant to how families live today. Her skill at artfully blending styles and periods has made her a tastemaker and trendsetter with a reputation for flair and a genuine desire to create special places.
Her early career in the fashion industry gave Julia an introduction to the fast paced “visual world” where she developed her discerning eye, visiting antique shops and markets around the globe. Her genuine love for the old, combined with her honed philosophy of mixing the past with the present and future has made Julia into one of the country’s most sought after designers. Julia is a coveted speaker and takes an active role in the design community – from being a Style Spotter at the International Furnishings Market in High Point to traveling to Spain on behalf of manufacturers.
